If a job’s worth doing, do it once and do it right. At Clarke’s Gas Services, we’ve upheld that ethos from our conception to the present day. As we’ve grown, we’ve remained true to our core values of integrity, service excellence, fair pricing, and genuine customer care.
Clarke’s Gas Services was established in 2011 by David Clarke. A trained gas engineer with over 24 years’ experience, David had worked for various companies, large and small. Growing frustrated with other engineers’ poor-quality work and the industry’s impersonal approach, he felt driven to set up his own business.
From humble beginnings on the Clarke family dining table to the award-winners we are today, we’ve always been a modern company with traditional values. We’ve built a strong reputation in Faversham and the surrounding areas for delivering outstanding service with the personal touch. We don’t cut corners; our work, and the parts we use, are of the highest standard to ensure value for money for our customers. That’s why we were named Best Domestic Gas Installers in the South East in 2020 – and we’re nominated again for 2021.
As for our services, we don’t just do gas! Knowing (and loving) our local area gives us the edge. We’ve identified the unique needs of our community and provide tailored services to match. We do it all and we do it right, from installing off-grid heating for our rural customers to delivering hard water softener solutions directly to peoples’ doors (a must in Kent!)
Now operating from Brogdale Farm, home to the National Fruit Collection, Clarke’s Gas Services is celebrating 10 years of business. Here’s hoping for another decade of serving our valued customers!

Our Team
As Clarke’s Gas Services has grown, our team has evolved. We’ve seen employees retire and also move on to bigger things thanks to the knowledge they gained working with David. We’ve also welcomed a few new faces!
James – Engineer
Trained to work with gas and oil, James is an invaluable, versatile team member. He joined us in 2021 and loves the varied opportunities that come from working here.
David – Director/Engineer
Our founder, David Clarke, qualified in gas central heating installation, breakdown, and servicing in 2002. Breakdown repairs are his speciality, which has earned him the nickname, Boiler Geek! Also trained to work with oil, boats, and caravans, David recognised an important niche and was inspired to offer these services to his clients.
Clare & Jack – Admin Aces
The conductors of a well-rehearsed symphony, integral to our success! Clare and Jack answer the phones, book jobs for our engineers, and take payments over the phone.

At Clarke’s Gas Services, we take pride in our professional accreditations, which reflect our commitment to quality and safety. Our qualifications and certifications showcase our expertise and dedication to delivering the best plumbing services to our valued customers.
We are qualified to work on:
Natural Gas – Central heating boilers, water heaters, gas fires, warm air units, cookers and Agas, and Gas meters.
Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) – all of the above plus Boats, residential park homes and Caravans
Oil – We are Oftec Registered so we can carry out installs, breakdowns and repairs to Pressure Jet Oil boilers and Oil tanks.
We can undertake Installation and maintenance work to the above this includes; Landlords Gas Safety Checks CP12’s, Appliance services known as CP6’s. We are also ATAG service agents for the local area, – which means we are ATAG part stockist and attend repairs if and when necessary.
We are qualified in energy efficiency (Building Regulation Part L), domestic hot water distribution to help reduce the risk of Legionella disease( Building Regulation Part G). We are also a WRAS trained – Water Regulations advisory scheme, the purpose of this is to prevent the contamination of public water supplies. We also fit water softeners and supply block salt to your door!
Plumbing – We recognised where our skills lie best and we are primarily heating engineers, whilst we do carry out minor plumbing work we don’t carry out any complete bathroom refits, or any underground drainage work.

Clarke’s Gas Services originally started out offering services throughout Faversham but with growing demand and a growing reputation, the company expanded and now covers Whitstable, Canterbury, and the surrounding areas. Offering a comprehensive range of heating and plumbing services throughout these areas, we offer a professional and high standard of work at a fair and competitive price.
